”Staff was friendly but other than that the hotel was horrible The room smelled like dirty dog and had roaches After I saw all the roaches (6) I googled the hotel to look at the reviews and saw some people say they had roaches in Their room as well those reviews where a few months old so clearly they are aware and haven’t done anything about it I have video of the roaches ”

”Room was clean and Lilly at the front desk was nice and helpful. Good for a 1 or 2 night stay if y9ou have business at the airport of are flying out early/”

”We stayed here for 4 nights in March 2026. The location is absolutely fantastic - steps away from beautiful downtown Dunedin. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. We’ve stayed in several places around Dunedin and this was definitely my favourite thus far. Keep up the great work!”

”Mukava hotelli, hyvällä sijainnilla. Kahdesti olemme täällä ollut ja molemmat kerrat ollaan tykätty. Miinusta on tiukat aikarajat uima-altaan käytölle ja tällä kertaa hissi meni rikki, eikä sitä saatu kuntoon ennen lähtöä.”

”rooms are dated a could use paint and cleaning. Looks like the lobby is new (updated). ”

”The main pool had not been cleaned at all in the 3 days that we were there. There was tons and tons of things from trees floating everywhere in the pool. It was so bad that myself and other guest asked for a net so that we could clean up. But there wa sjust so much that it awful.”

”This property was not dog-friendly as advertised. My husband was confronted by a staff member accusing our dogs of urinating on the floor, which was later determined not to be the case; the employee was written up for how the situation was handled. We were also placed next to an elevator, which isn’t ideal when traveling with pets. Another employee later claimed our dogs were barking and that “everyone” was complaining, but management confirmed the noise was actually coming from the room above...

”We were booked into a handicapped room but did not request or need a special room. We talked to front desk staff and she dismissed us saying “all rooms are the same.” She had no idea bed was low to ground etc. She moved us and room was much improved. ”

”We enjoyed the swimming pool. The temperature was really nice ,lovely setting for the breakfast and quiet and very cool and comfortable bedroom The kitchenette only has a microwave. I never really understood why there’s all these kitchen cabinets and they’re totally empty not even a bowl. I would stay here again a bit pricey but so is everything else in the area”

”The poolside seats were comfortable; however, we needed to put towels on the seat cushions. The seat and back cushions were stained and there were cigarette holes in them. The tables with fire pits were also very dirty. ”
