”We chose The Market Tavern because of it's location - it is in the same village where our son, daughter-in-law and new grandson live and we were visiting.
The whole property has been tastefully renovated and is lovely. We had eaten in the pub before but not stayed.
Bampton is a quaint village with plenty of amenities and is well placed for visiting lots of interesting places.
Breakfast was good with cold and cooked choices. Staff were friendly and attentive.

”OK room, with carpet. The flushing system in the bathroom worked poorly. My shower had good pressure (top floor) but my friend who lived on ground floor could hardly wash her hair because of poor water pressure.
The over all appearance was that the hotel needs a big face lift, but has good potential. It was cold; the public bathrooms were freezing; the conference rooms were cold,- bad air-conditioning. It seemed worn, and there was a scent of unfreshness in the corridors that seemed like too...

Breakfasts were great, a good choice from the buffet, and the cooked breakfast, plenty of options - delicious!

”The hotel was great and clean. It was near a Park and Ride. Taking a bus from there to the city centre was easy and the journey took only about 10 minutes. However, a downside was that the buses did not run on Christmas Day. Near the hotel, there is not really anything worthwhile to see.
The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The double bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and nice. The room also had an empty mini-bar which you could you use as your mini-fridge. If you...

The Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.

We stayed at the Hotel for two nights and had Dinner both nights. The Food was really nice and again, service was good.
If I was being picky, it would’ve been nice to have had some complimentary Bottled Water in the Room on arrival.
I would certainly stay here again and plan to do so in a few months time.”
