"For people with small children planning a holiday in area - choose Hyatt Regency instead of Hilton. Our experience:
Staff is very friendly and helpful, speak French and English. Smiling, pleasant people everywhere — especially the lady at the omelette station. That said, most of the staff simply don’t seem to know what a 5-star hotel and its processes should look like.
At first we got wrong room to start our holiday, with awful perfume smell in it, but changing was luckily smooth although no apoligies or help was offered when risong this issue.
Breakfast is okayish and plentiful, but the fruit situation is bad — kiwis almost always out of stock, no bananas, no pineapples, no melons. Nutella almost permanently empty (kids love it), though they filled it when asked. Coffee is really average quality and the machines are slow. Lots of employees running around but they obviously don’t see the problems or have the processes taught. For example filling the empty orange juice (which was filled with ice making it blended) should be routine.
Many items on the drinks menu were out of stock in the beach restaurant. The wine we did get was served with two spotty plastic glasses. We got new ones by asking and after talk with manager about the problems we faced. He (Abdulleh) was very helpful after that discussion.
Rooms are spacious and beds comfortable, but housekeeping was consistently poor. Room often came back messy and not properly cleaned. Even the linen was worn out. "
