”The tub/shower drain was plugged, it had been plugged prior because it immediately backed up with water. Hair and crude came up out of the drain. I reported it early to the front desk on our first morning of a two night stay. As of when we left it had not been fixed. We let the front desk know again.”

”I wish I would have known to ask for a room with a lake view”

”We were looking for a low budget room just for the night. We were impressed with how newly renovated and updated it was. It was small but had what we needed including coffee and snacks. It is right by the road so keep in mind that the traffic can be heard throughout the night. Would happily sleep here again.”

”It's a lovely location on Lake Superior.”

”We enjoyed our stay at the super 8. Very helpful staff. Room, pool, lobby and breakfast area very clean and well maintained. Nice decor in our room. Would recommend this hotel visiting the Ashland, WI area.”

”The room was exceptional and so was the view. Awesome design of room and shower”

”Quiet, bucolic countryside views of”

”The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.”

”Everything was amazing! Will be back”

”Perfect stay for a quick weekend. Location is perfect so we could walk to everything but loved how it was tucked into the backyard so our bonfires were private.”

”This may very well be the cleanest property on the island. It’s quiet, secure, easy to find, clean, well decorated, and parking was right beside the building”

”Easy access ”

”It was so peaceful! We had a great time, the beach was just a little walk away and it was amazing!!!”

”This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet.”

”We had an awesome time. The fishing was great! We caught and released probably 150 fish and my 12 year old loved it. The cabin was great, no complaints at all. Thank you!!”
