”Would stay at this hotel again. Room was modern and spacious. Nice big TV in room! Don’t agree with the 3.00 a night emergency services fee that they charge. Didn’t know about that until check in. Free breakfast was great! Loved the scrambled eggs with cheese in them. Variety breakfast items was nice too. ”

”The service was great. The room was very clean. The only small complaint is it seems they shampooed the carpet and left a damp smell that almost smelled like wet dog. Febreeze helped though. ”

”I quite enjoyed my stay at the Mountaineer Inn. I went for Lurch Fest (in August), a fest for Philippi native Ted Cassidy, tv’s original Lurch. I had read reviews before I booked so know that there have been some upgrades. They DO have key cards and shampoo in the bathrooms. I saw some new flooring so it looks like renovations have started. The Philippi Inn is the nearby restaurant and it’s right next door although it’s not far into town. I had to go this trip without a car, which I knew would...

”I love everything about this property!! Is especially the Staff!! The people who checked us in were exceptionally kind and very professional!! The hotel is very clean and very well appointed!! The breakfast was very good!! The location is in walking distance to food and convenience store!! There is also a mall close by and gas station!! ”Great spot to stay! Very convenient for Strawberry Festival parade and activities- we were pleasantly surprised by the location and proximity to the parade route. This was my first time utilizing VRBO, and I’m very pleased. Everything we needed was there, and my experience here has definitely motivated me to seek out other VRBO properties for future trips. ”
