”Nice central and well kept hotel on the higher end. Quick and friendly valet parking though pricey ($58/night) - we got free valet however through an Expedia benefit. Restaurant and front desk staff are friendly and helpful.”

”We have stayed in numerous hotels in Charleston and this was by far the best. The rooms were big and clean. The outdoor courtyard was perfect to come back to at the end of the day of exploring. Going forward it is probably the only place I would stay in Charleston when visiting. ”

”I was shocked at the location. I'm glad I didn't plan to walk to the historic area, as it was not safe. The room was shockingly small, too small for even a bedside table to ut your glasses or phone on. It was made of concrete. This made it very loud in the room and uncomfortable. The bathroom door was basically for show and did not feel private. I would not stay here again. I would sleep in my car before paying to sleep there. ”

”The exterior of the hotel and lobby is beautiful. We stayed in room 400 and it desperately needs a refurbishing. We opened the door to our room and had a conference room table and white board to our right. My room had a window and three doors (two double doors and one to a hallway). My sister's room did not have a window. The bathroom in my room was in need of tile repair. The couch and carpet in the main room was stained. Overall, disappointed for the price we paid. ”

”Great location… we could walk to everything. Room not as pictured on website. Dark and dank. Bathroom smelled… think it was the water? Toilet ran. But the staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I think it was to expensive for what it was, but it was also during graduation time, so maybe rooms were in short supply?”

”The breakfast delivered to my door in a picnic basket each morning was a very nice surprise. More than just a continental breakfast in a downstairs common area. The rooftop restaurant and bar was a great place to spend happy hour or finish the night. The pool/spa was a nice feature for such a small area, but the lack of an area to lounge and get sun was unfortunate. The location was great and the property was very unique and cozy.
