”We wanted to book somewhere in the middle of nowhere and this was what we booked. What a stunning view of the surrounding area and the night sky was something I hope I can remember forever. The lodge was what you can expect for the price, certainly adequate enough and breakfast was more than enough and was included too. We arrived just before the season start and I think there’s an image of the jacuzzi but don’t expect it to be operational, no big deal. Have a walk around the local area, there’s...

”Our stay with Ken and his son Juan was one of the highlights of our Costa Rica trip. From the moment we booked, their communication was exceptional. They provided incredibly detailed instructions, local recommendations, and helpful tips that made everything easy and stress-free.The property is beautiful and surrounded by nature. We loved seeing the gorgeous parrot, spending time with Bella—the sweetest dog—and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. One of the unique perks was being able to pick fresh...

”Our party of 3 arrived the evening of Apr 3rd for a 3 night stay. The owner showed us to our cabin, and it was in terrible condition. The stairs were loose, the handrailing was rickety, the door didn't fit properly. Once inside, we could see it was poorly built, the bathroom was dirty, and it appeared not to have hot water, although we never had a chance to find out for sure. We went for something to eat, and then came back to the cabin for a shower and a nights sleep. My 2 friends were...

”This was the perfect location for our time in Monteverde. It is a small house but it is charming and worked well for our family of 2 adults and 2 children ages 6 & 9. The view across the street is incredible. Kenneth was a kind and communicative host and was happy to share recommendations.”

”A special place - beautiful and in a beautiful setting. The property managers also thought of all the little things, and the welcome pack (some food starters, etc.) was a really thoughtful touch, given the place is a bit away from the action in Santa Elena. We really enjoyed our stay.”

”We had a very good stay at the Casa. View of the mountains and sunset is the best you can get. The owner is superb and was very responsive and made everything possible to make our stay comfortable. He even left us some beers, coffee etc which was amazing and I appreciate the gesture.Improvements needed:It got very hot and the windows did not have grills or mesh and so opening them was a bit risky (bugs). Wish the ventilation was better. I would recommend this for those visiting Monteverde. Would...
