Hae hotelleja – Cantón Montes de Oca

”Nice hotel, it was worth more than I paid. Stores and restaurants are around this hotel, and you can go to San Pedro Mall on foot, and city central by taxi for 10 mins. It’s quiet usually around it. Mr. Mark, owner of the hotel, turn off the light at 10pm everyday, so you can sleep comfortably. You can get many services there, i.e. nice pancakes for breakfast (surprisingly free), laundry services, and others. And don’t forget this: everyday he sends us off at hotel with warm “PURA VIDA”.”

”For the price it does the trick. Room was clean and staff were great. Sophie at the reception was fantastic. Some of the rooms on the main floor are a bit small and not a lot of air circulation. Close to a mall and the lots of restaurants.”

”This was a great choice for me and my family. We had a great stay. The staff was nice but they could have been more warm and friendly. The rooms themselves were clean and maintained well. I like that it was like an apartment (it had a fridge, microwave, stove top, sink, and plates/cups). The breakfast was good. The location was great for us because we were able to walk to the mall that's nearby and it was a short drive to downtown San Jose.”

”Apart from one young chap, the staff seemed little interested in their guests, particularly regarding breakfast, which was itself hugely disappointing. The rooms were average.”

”No AC, loud noises from street (lots of motorcycles), loud music from lobby (karaoke machine?), bed with no blanket (only top sheet), and bathroom out of TP and paper towels. However, hotel staff were super friendly and helpful and responded quickly to any inquiries. Decent storage in room closet. Area is secure (garage door and front door locked at night). Had a private room for 4 and it did the trick for a 1 night stay before early flight but otherwise would be rough. ”

”This was a very nice, clean, and quaint place. If you ate going to be around the University of Costa Rica and lots of bars and clubs not far away, this is a good choice.”

”We liked the convenience of a nearby well stocked supermarket and proximity to major street with bus service. Bring your earplugs though as the sounds of the street/cars are quite loud at night. All in all we had lots of room for us and the apartments’ kitchen was better outfitted than expected. Despite a snag in our checkin we would come back and stay here”

”Muy mal. No pude utilizar la reservación. El hotel tiene varios días de estar clausurado por remodelación. Tuve que buscar alojamiento en otro lugar, con los consecuentes inconvenientes. Exijo que se me reintegre inmediatamente el monto que Hoteles.com cargó en mi tarjeta de crédito.”

”Everything was great. Mostly the customer service starting from the airport pick up to a simple remote control quick fix. Amenities are also high on the list.Very good location with peace and quiet. No planes,trains or automobiles to worry about. Awesome stay will be returning in the summer.”

”The room was very clean and the staff was helpful, but the furniture has seen a better day and the refrigerator even had rust on the door. The safe was broken and you had to go to the front desk to get a hair dryer. And there was a gap under the door which allowed all the hallway noise to come in. IN addition, there's no sign on the outside of the building and the entrance is behind a iron gate so I was not sure I was at the right building, but I rung the bell anyway and luckily it was the...
