”Loved the historically accurate home and setting. It is obvious that the owners have taken great care in building and decorating it after the colonial Virginia period. Delicious, ample breakfast in the morning after a welcome with chocolate chip cookies and tea/coffee if one wishes. Lovely room with very comfy bed and pillows. ”A great place, clean, beautiful nature around.We had activities in Williamsburg, VA. The place was about 30 min drive thru peaceful countryside. Highly recommended !!”

”We were competing in a regional B.A.S.S. tournament on the James River and the house was in a very convenient location to Osborne ramp and park. The house was as advertised, and the communication with the host was exceptional! ”

”Great location & wonderful amenities! You can’t beat the beauty of the river’s view and the woods that surround the property. We stayed with our two young sons and they loved playing outside, the arcade games, and the dock. The only draw back for families is not having an internal staircase, but it wasn’t too much of a problem for us. This is definitely more for a rustic getaway rather than a luxurious stay. It worked very well for our family of boys. ”

”Loved the spacious 2 bedroom villa, and the pools! Although we were on the second floor, it wasn’t too bad climbing the stairs with my 2 year old granddaughter. Will definitely stay here again. ”

”The room we were given had a smoke smell but we we soon given another room that was fine. Everything worked well. Breakfast ok -- except for the all-too-common plastic cutlery and plates -- not ecological. ”

”My husband and I spent a few nights here for our 10 year anniversary. The resort was great. We enjoyed being able to walk to everything we needed, the dining options, and the pool behind the spa. The river pool was a bit too crowded with children for us so we stayed away from that. The Mill was a great place for breakfast and lunch, and we enjoyed dinner at The James River Grille twice. ”It was really good! The hotel room was clean and neat. There was a rainfall shower head. The hotel is being renovated so the outside looks like a prison but the inside looked amazing!! Elevator needs updating. But other than that we will definitely be back!!!”
