Hae hotelleja – Cherwell

”The hotel is about a 10 minute Uber-drive to the city centre and it is surrounded by a nice park. The food is quite decent and check-in and check-out are smooth. The hotel is a basic American-British 80s-90s hotel (now taken over by the Leonardo group) with dated carpets and rooms that need a renovation. I would not give this 4 stars, 3 max. The beds are ok, the pillows are excellent and a bathroom is outdated. It is small, does not have any 4-star amenities nor equipment and - to paraphrase a...

”I was charged an additional £5.00 for parking! That would be fine in a town but this hotel is in a motorway service station so I am not even sure it would be possible to get there by any other method. This means that I would count this as false advertising. Ramada would be better off just advertising the room at £5.00 more. It certainly left a bad taste with me. They do say that parking is charged somewhere but they hide it well! Reception area was nice. Shower was cold and heating rattle-y but...
