”Very good new hotel. Good rooms and hotel areas. Unfortunately breakfast quality needs a little attention. Bacon over cooked too long under service heat and dried, similar for fried eggs and had to request. Ladies working breakfast service very good and helpful. Did not see anyone from kitchen keeping watch and stocking breakfast buffet which was surprising for such a good hotel”

”Very friendly staff spotless room would definitely stay again. Food at hotel was also excellent too but be aware it's fairly expensive around £23 for fish and chips”

”The staff were easily the best part of my stay, so friendly and helpful. No plug sockets near the bed. The tv signal kept dropping. Bed was fine. Bath was slow draining. Stay was a lot quieter than I was expecting.”

”On arrival we were told we were being upgraded to a ‘privilege’ room. Great I thought. Not so. We walked down and along to a very dark and tired room with no view on the ground floor. Yes, it had robes to wear (short, small and scratchy), yes it had a coffee machine (we don’t drink coffee) and a small fridge. I went back to reception to ask if we could see the original room but were told they were full! The large shower head was dripping water not enough to wash in and the fridge didn’t have any...

”As a place to stay it was okay. There was no restaurant as it is being renovated, luckily there was a good Indian restaurant virtually opposite. Parking is £3 per 24 hours unless included in your booking. Breakfast was okay but mainly carbs. Would I stay there again probably not”

”One night stay, room(plum porter) much bigger than photos , clean comfy and in keeping with the building. Staff very friendly, beer spot on food good. We didn't want breakfast as we were going for lunch, just. Suited us. Lovely little village, church peaceful, sound of the bells chiming, like going back in time. Nothing we didn't like, beautiful hanging baskets, beer terrace, a very popular, dog friendly pub, thanks.”
