At first glance the area might seem edgy but in reality it is a very genuine place with real people, and the standard attracts all the cool kids and young at heart. ”We stayed for 3 days and really liked the place. It was generally clean and good value. The only reason for not giving 5 stars was it is a bit dated and the bed was a bit small for such a big room (garden view). Good location next to river and 25 mins from cbd.”

”Place was near the station which was very convenient. Rooms are quite dated but with what you pay for it is really not bad at all. Staff was very nice. Toilets unfortunately always had pee on them when I stayed there. Does tend to get noisy with all the cars if your room is next to a road. Also have to give a deposit for a key which isn't the best for a solo female traveller.”

”Apartment was very spacious with a large living room and separate bedroom. Excellent shower/bathroom and decent (but basic) kitchen facilities. We had a 10-night stay visiting family nearby and it was ideal, close to shops, trams, trains, and was quiet and safe ”

”Definitely not for Karen’s but not hostel is. The guy running has great morals and stands up for what’s right. Super easy guy too get along with and makes you feel safe and comfortable. We actually ended up extending due too the 24/7 in house security. Top bloke!”

”Location is ideal if you are attending any sporting events as it is on the border of AAMI park with easy access to Rod Laver arena and beyond. Richmond and all the bars and restaurants is just a corner away. I was very happy with the location. There is some road noise at night but nothing that limits your sleeping.”
