”Fatastic hotel and our room and ensuite was lovely, my only issue was the mattress was rather noisy. Breakfast was lovely but please try either Linda McCartney or Cauldren veggie sausages as even meat eaters love them. If we're ever in the area again we'll definately stay at The Blue Boar. The staff were lovely too.”

”Nice comfortable hotel an easy walking distance from everything in Colchester. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was good quality. I liked the fact that breakfast is 'a la carte', as that reduces wastage. Cleanliness is good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!”

” We found the Victory Inn at Mersea to be very comfortable and the service was brilliant. Staff were especially helpful and the position was great for my 6 year old grandson as he spent lots of time in the play area and we could keep our eye on him. We will definitely be booking again for sometime in the summer for a longer stay.”
