”The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Check in was great. Water pressure was just ok. Our toilet really didn’t flush well and the tv would not work. In the end not a deal breaker. We were tired and just went to bed early. It was quiet and the room was clean and comfortable.”

”Pool and hot tub and fitness area all closed. No mention on the website. We book the hotel because of the pool, hot tub and fitness area. Bed too soft. Employees smoking out front when we arrived. It seemed to be a regular thing to smoke out front. Air conditioning units above the rear entrance doors are leaking, so you have to dodge the water. The rear entrance doors do not lock unless you push on the doors. A security/safety issue.”

”With all the great reviews, I was expecting it to be immaculate and well maintained. That was not my experience. It was very comfortable and relatively clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Full disclosure, my opinion could be slightly skewed because, for some reason, I thought the place was much closer to Effingham - but it was 45 minutes away adding an extra hour and a half to my trip. But that is NOT the hotel’s fault - I just didn’t check all the details closely enough on Expedia. But...

”This was the perfect stop for me and my pugs. I was traveling through, and it was a gem to find such a comfy spot for one (or two if you need a romantic get away). Hosts were super friendly and easy to talk to. My pugs loved the chickens and I loved the peace and quiet of the wind flowing through the trees. The pictures don’t do it justice, it is rustic, but comfortable.”
