”Our stay greatly exceeded our expectations. The lodge would be quite a romantic getaway if we hadn’t been staying with two young children. The room was very clean and furnished beautifully. There was a living area downstairs that was stocked with games, books, and nice sofas with windows overlooking the big lake. It was a short drive into downtown Grand Marais, and a short hike to the Cascade Falls. The restaurant next door offers a discount with your stay and is quite tasty. The front office...

”Bed was a bit hard for my taste but the pillows were wonderful. Breakfast is a bare minimum. Cereal, toast, bagels, precooked pancakes. Very good deal for the price.”

”Friendly staff, decent prices especially for the area and time of year. No good protein choices for breakfast - challenging for a diabetic (but im mostly prepared for that). Enjoyed the back patio and views. We will keep this hotel in mind for future trips.”

”What a wonderful place!!! Our family of 4 (13 yrs and 10yrs) loved staying at this resort! So much to do. Free activities along with extra for a bit extra. Had BBQ dinner buffet served by the owner of the resort. Very friendly staff and the lodge we stayed in was very clean. Beach is great for all ages and free kayaks and canoes were the cherry on top. Thank You!!!”
