”The rental was perfect for us -- two bedrooms upstairs with a shared bathroom (both spacious and comfortable), and a sofa bed in the basement/tv area, with its own full bath. The facilities were beautifully kept, the location along the north shore was convenient to cafes and hiking (with Grand Marais not too far). We arranged to bring our dogs, and they had a great time (the only thing they didn't like is that they're used to runners on the stairs, so going up and down was slippery for them, but...

”We really enjoyed our weekend here. Quiet and secluded, but still very close to Grand Marais. A path just outside accesses a whole network of trails, we hiked to Pincushion Mountain. And the SHT connects here as well if you want to go further. The furnishings are simple in a very nice way; a folding table with two folding chairs, an electric kettle and a mini fridge are great for morning coffee or simple meals. The only thing we would have changed would be trading the two twin beds for a single...

”Perfect for a solo retreat! I needed some relaxing time alone in the woods (in a beautiful maple forest, no less), but still wanted to be somewhat close to civilization, and this was the spot! I got such refreshing, restful sleep every night in this absolutely quiet, tiny (but airy) playhouse of a cottage, thanks to the super cozy and comfy bed!
