”My husband and I have stayed here 3 times. Each one was a great experience. We used both the indoor and outdoor pools. It’s also close to our son’s and the restaurants where we like to eat. Love that breakfast is included. Beds are very comfortable and they have a good sized TV. The beach was not too crowded either.”

”This hotel was a nice find, excellent quality for the price. The building is a bit run down outside, but we were there off-season and it seemed there was a lot of maintenance going on. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. They even served a breakfast, which was adequate. The location is wonderful, right next to the beach!”

”Great property and my wife and I intend to stay here once again. As Hilton Vacation Club members we decided to check out this property via Expedia before spending future HVC points to stay here in the future. Excellent property with excellent amenities! The outdoor pool is incredible, as is the indoor pool and lazy floating river. Thoroughly enjoyed fishing on the private lake. The location was very quiet and private. I highly rate this property and would recommend to other!”

”I stayed here in the early 1980s, when I was in my early teens. It has been upgraded since then, but still provided that wonderful nostalgic feeling I had when I first visited the Outer Banks! I wanted my kids to experience this as well, so we booked a room for several days. We stayed in a courtyard room, which was still very quiet and comfortable, despite being next to the entrance drive. ”It was very clean and a nice suite. The staff were very helpful. It had great view of the ocean. The only drawback is you have to exchange your own towels and take out your garbage. They said it would be cleaned daily but it wasn’t. I’m sure they would have if we asked. I would go again.”

”We checked in late the first night and stayed the second night at this inn. It was too short to show them the white bedding top comforter spread was all wrinkled as if it had been sitting in the dryer and forgotten. We took a photo and showed the front desk when checked out.”

”The amenities were fantastic. It was nice to be able to walk right into the beach in the morning, spend the afternoon at the pool, and enjoy complimentary popcorn with the kids. The staff was fantastic and very accommodating when we arrived.”

”We stayed here a few years ago and it was lovely and perfect. This year was different. It is still nice and clean but not the same. They remodeled everything and not in a good way. It just seems like they don’t really care now. The hot tub was not working and very dirty. The staff is great but very few staff. It’s just not worth the money now.”

”Overall, I had a pleasant stay. The hotel is pet friendly and welcoming to service animals, which was a big plus. One thing to know before visiting is that dogs are not allowed on the beach in Kill Devil Hills from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the summer. That’s a town rule, not the hotel’s policy, but it’s helpful to know. The hotel is cute, newly renovated, and has accessible first floor rooms. Otherwise, there are only stairs.
