”Great location just out of town. The property had a pool, but we never used it. Our room was a bit dated, with a well-equipped kitchenette (no stove). I loved that we had a gas fireplace in the room. However, the lobby had a wood-burning fireplace, which I used for three different nights. The continental breakfast was great considering it was a self-serve setup. With cereals, breads, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, boiled eggs, juices, and coffee, it gave one a full belly to start the day...

”We booked a second-floor room (219) in advance, but when we arrived the front desk told us the owners had taken our room and moved us to a first-floor room (118) instead. No one seemed concerned about the inconvenience or offered any meaningful accommodation for the change. Being bumped from a room we specifically booked—and learning the owners simply took it—showed a complete lack of respect for guests.
We were assured the replacement room would be quiet. It wasn't. Every morning, staff did...

”Very nice resort! You are on the water and can see Lake Michigan from almost every room balcony or patio! Staff was knowledgeable about the area for food and excursions. Quiet, clean, relaxing, and awesome private beach! Free breakfast had a decent selection to get your day started. Nice indoor pool with hot tub. ”This was our first stay in DC and it was so nice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lodge. The Fire pits outside were so relaxing to sit by at the end of the day. Our room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to any need we might have. Would definitely stay here again. The Lodge is centrally located so made it easy to get around Door County quickly.”
