”We stayed one night at the hotel The restaurant was very nice and we both enjoyed our meals there , both dinner and breakfast. the room we booked was a superior room, we were a little surprised to find 2 bunkers in the room (as well as the king bed) but it was quite spacious in the room so it was ok.”

”Nice location (quite remote and quiet) and friendly staff. Some gaps in the breakfast service, e.g. lacking glasses, plates etc. And the breakfast ended already at 9 which was very early for me. The condition of the hotel was quite worn-out and occasionally dirty, there were several spiderwebs and spiders in the hallway and the smell of our room was musty. ”

”Incredibly old and poorly maintained hotel. Very loud on the street below. The hotel even provides earplugs on the bed. Awful smell in hallway but not in the room thankfully. Terribly stained carpet. Beds were clean and comfortable, but mine had a lean to it and kept having to roll back on the bed to not fall off. The shower had moldy lines and the bath anti-slip mat was definitely moldy. Plus you had to keep the door shut so the fire alarm would not go off. The breakfast was fine. Parking was...

”The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The beds were really comfortable, breakfast was very comprehensive and nice. The place is a little run down, but looks as though it’s being improved. Great value for the price, would definitely stay there again. They do do evening meals in the bar although their website doesn’t say so.”

”Excellent place to stay to visit The Lakes and surrounding areas with stunning views. We stayed for 5 nights and were made to feel so welcome . Absolutely spotless. Nothing too much trouble. Room lovely, hot shower, breakfasts excellent. Great choice and they are happy to sort whatever you would like. Coffee and homemade cake available in the lounge later. All in all, we have not stayed in a better B&B . Now we have found it will most definitely be back. Highly recommend.”

”Parts need to be freshened up/ up dated, like the lift. Tha Swimming pool area, the rail rusty, floor tiles & spar changing room / shower door etc The cleanliness over most of the build was good, but parts like level 3 hall way was very poor, when the lift door opened on level 3 I was getting very worried what the room was going to be like. ”First we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned but this was quickly sorted and we were switched to another room. However, it was so damp as to be unfit for use, particularly as my wife is asthmatic. The damp odour and poor atmosphere both in the room and the corridor meant we decided to leave and went to an another hotel. The evidence of damp was so obvious as to beg the question why the hotel management felt it appropriate to book out the room.”

”The property was very unique. Waited over 45 min to be checked in. Arrived at the room up 4 flights of stairs with no elevator. No help at all! The room was at an angle. So everything was moving to the left of the room. Bathroom was modern but had nothing in the shampoo and shower gel dispenser. Had tea and coffee but no kettle. It was a vile stay. But the bed was good. Ok check out I was verbally assaulted by the chef who was doing check out. Avoid this place. It’s not a hotel it’s a castle as...
