”We were most impressed about the outstanding friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Felt like in a Japanese Ryokan where the guest is king. One hick-up with the restaurant at the first night, which was charmingly fixed by the management.”

”Staff is lovely. We stayed in the Shenandoah suite. It’s a very private tucked away room with a little patio which is why I picked it. Be aware, though, if you choose it that there are two rather large steps down to go into the bathroom! We enjoyed the breakfast that was delivered to the room immensely. Overall, quite a nice stay in a beautiful, historic inn.”

”We drove the blue ridge parkway + skyline drive, so the hotel was conveniently located. Parking was easy and breakfast was good. Room smelled a bit weird and could use some renovation. Wifi worked fine. All in all suited well for one night quick stop.”

”It scared me to stay there after seeing all the signs stating, take everything out of your car!! This said we were in an unsafe area! The morning worker was rude too. When we took our breakfast to go, my hands were full and the wind from the door took some muffins out of my hands. The big male came outside, yelling at me. He said, you could clean up your mess. I thought, wow you'd never get me back here, yelling to a me like that. He should have said, can I help you since I see your hands are...

”This is such a delightful Inn run by lovely people. Is it a 5 star hotel? No. Was it built in the 70s? Probably. Nonetheless, the pool is crystal clear. The landscaping is gorgeous (The gentleman does it all himself!) Its close to a beautiful state park. The owners couldnt be more friendly. I've never slept better in a hotel. ”

”Charming but rustic farm property with outbuildings. Eclectic, NOT fancy. Very clean, not manicured. This is like staying at a real farm. ”

”Love staying here, quiet and everything I need for an overnight stay with my little dogs. Their generator did great for cooling the apartment when there was a power outage in the area due to thunderstorms.”

”This property is beautifully decorated and well maintained. It is also very quiet. The kitchen is fully equipped. I would recommend this property as a lovely quiet retreat. It is less than a mile from the Apple house. ”
