”Hotel is nice but not luxury 5* hotel. Service is very good and prices are affordable. Only big resort hotel in Weligama and from walking distance to everywhere in Weligama. Beach is nice and good restaurants nearby. Breakfast is buffee type and hotel has one ala carte sea food restaurant. We didn’t try buffee dinner. ”

”Just Amazing, it was the perfect environment to unwind and relax after a busy couple of weeks. I ended my vacation to Sri Lanka at the Fortress and I loved it. The staff service was exceptional, food was so delicious, I wish I had more room to enjoy more of it!! I can’t wait to come back with my family and friends. Thank you for your hospitality. ”

”The cheapest room is really noisy, as it is right next to the road. The road is really busy, even through the night, and I don't think anyone could sleep through that noise level without earplugs. Ensure to enter the number of people you plan to have with you while booking, otherwise you might get surprising surcharges. ”Somerset hotel is situated on top of a hill, so you might want take it under consideration if you have trouble moving. The hotel itself was really nice and have beautiful view to the jungle behind it. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Beach is pretty close by, 5-10min by foot. WiFi was bad and restaurant only served breakfast so you do have to get out pretty often.”

”The hotel was nice and clean and in a quiet area, excellent if you are seeking for tranquility. Breakfast was amazing and every morning they offered something different. The staff was very friendly although not everyone could speak English well which caused some confusion at times. ”This is a good hotel situated right on the beach. The room had all the basic essentials. We stayed in a budget room. The walls were full of stains and the mosquito net smelled like it hadn't been washed in months. Budget should not mean the room is not maintained. We stayed 5 nights. The food was delicious, a bit overpriced for the serving size but we enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. Over all, a pleasant stay, helpful and friendly staff.
