”Overall experience was great! The staff were very responsive, accommodating to my requests and pleasant to talk to. My only suggestion for consideration: the place should have in house phones. While in my room, I had to use my own phone from abroad and reception was bad. So I had to go out of my room to the reception desk and ask for something that could have been handled simply over the phone.”

”Beds are tough, a relic of past glory days. Needs to be updated. AC did not work as described. More then half of all electrical outlets did not work.”

”The best part is the location beach front. The staff were not too friendly and they are good at saying no to their hotel guests. There’s construction everywhere. No reliable television service. Food is mediocre for the price. They charge for everything even for ice. They need more training in hospitality because we felt not too welcome during our stay.”

”the breakfast is very good. the coast is perfect for people who hate crowds. although the coast is very rock, the beach is still good for relaxation and body dipping in salt water especialy in early morning where the salt water is warm and calm. it forms little lagoons for baths. I love it.”

”The beach is very close by and the air conditioner worked fine. The room we originally rented was tiny with no place to sit. We upgraded to a two bedroom cottage which had a TV but in my opinion is overpriced. The hotel is in need of renovation especially the guest rooms. The pool was empty and not available while we were there. Mgt did give me a 17%? discount for the inconvenience. The restaraunts menu had plenty of options but only had six items available.”

”Our stay was not bad overall. The room was comfortable and the location was convenient. However, I think the staff could be friendlier and more welcoming to the guests. With better customer service; the experience much better more enjoyable.”

”The property is great if you’re looking for a relaxing experience. It’s a small property but really nicely updated with modern amenities but still keeps the local charm. On-site guard is really courteous and helpful. It is a property overseen by the bigger Urban Wave Resort. You’d need to pick up the key from there and a helpful staff will guide/accompany you to the location of Balai Balatong. Had a pleasant stay even though only for a night to catch an early flight at the airport.”

”The property is very outdated and if this was somewhere else, the property would be condemed. There is mold in the ceiling. Spiders and bugs in every lightbulb. The bathroom reeked of urine and I found out that there was a leak from the toilet going to the bathroom drain when you flush. The stench was unbearable. The sink is out of alignment from the sink and draining into the bottom of the stairwell. The bed linens smelled liked they were not washed. The AC was noisy and made it unbearable to...
