”We had a wonderful experience at The Historic Powhatan. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, making us feel welcome throughout our stay. ”Dated, Can use a few upgrades. Parking is like a Brooklyn block that has alternate side parking in effect all day every day. Literally felt like I was walking three blocks every time I got out my car.”

”They try to lure you into a time share”

”Hotel was nice and clean and very close to Busch Gardens (3) minutes, they had a shuttle but we were unaware. Remote control was missing a battery so no television the first night we were too tired to go to the lobby after we settled in for the night. Other than that, the room was clean and we had a good stay.”

”Sadly we only had a short stay and didn't get to take advantage of the wonderful amenities available to us between our short stay and rain. The grounds were lovely, the room was clean and well sized, everything was as advertised. There is a lot to do on site including daily scheduled activities. We would choose to stay here again if we return to the area.”

”Upon arrival at 4:00 P.M., the hotel had no electricity. Not their fault but there was no one at the desk or anywhere near it. ”Great place for families especially if you are visiting the theme parks. Large pool, arcade, bar, market for coffee and snacks and great nearby dinning.”

”The room was beautiful, the setting in the winery next to woods was gorgeous, and the breakfast was delicious. Exceeded expectations for a mom traveling with two kids!”

”We loved the conventient location in relation to Busch Gardens and other destinations yet in a quiet setting. Although we were on the go, the younger travelers loved the pool and game room. I liked the separate sleeping quarters. We had a two bedroom unit. It makes for better sleep after long days of sightseeing or amusement park visits. Adults could get up and enjoy the kitchen amenties without disturbing others still sleeping!”

”This was one of the worst properties we have stayed at. Upon arrival the receptionist was rude. We got a nonsmoking room and they stated they charged $250 if we smoked in the room, yet as soon as we opened the door, all we could smell was smoke. There were holes in the walls, the stair railing was falling, electrical wiring was showing, the room was extremely dirty, there were bugs, the tv in the bedroom didn’t work, and the bathroom light did not work. ”Clean cabin and nice staff members. I didn't like that we didn't have the pillows and the comforters ( but got informed about it before the trip ). Our cabin was by the railway so it was super loud, I couldn't sleep. The bathroom is not connected to the cabin ( and I also knew about it before coming to the place). My husband said the men's bathroom smelled absolutely horrible. ”

”My husband and I booked a stay at the Suburban Williamsburg, Virginia for the dates of June 18-21 2026. When we arrived to check in our room was not ready. We left and then came back to check in and our room still was not available. When we finally checked in the room, the bathroom had mold in the tub and it was dirty.
