”Clean basic rooms, no frills. A/C worked. Not much breakfast, but enough not to starve. I had peanut butter toast, kids had pancakes, they were good, but ran out before I could get some.”

”Staff was helpful and nice. I did a self check in and everything was prepared for me at the front desk when I walked in. Fresh coffee in the morning. Minutes away from a beautiful view.”

”Never saw any office staff - door was unlocked (as our email said) and all was clean and cute place. Coffee maker did not work but coffee shop was across the street.”

”Roomy home with great view. Clean and well equipped. Convenient to McDonald Observatory. Dark sky at the house allowed us to star gaze there also. ”

”Remote location was quiet and private but very close to Ft Davis as well as other area attractions (Mcdonald Observatory, Balmorhea State Park/San Solomon Springs Pool, Ft Davis State Park, Marfa, etc.) The cabin was clean, well-equipped and the bed was super-comfortable. Saw aoudad sheep and many Texas songbirds during our stay. There's hiking available with great views of this spectacular ranch property”

”Oh my, this was my FAVORITE VRBO! And I’ve stayed in many over the years. It was clean, comfortable, but most of all ENTERTAINING! There was so much art and books and even secret little hidey holes filled with history and art! Card games, art supplies, 2 tvs, a record player and plenty of outdoor seating for star gazing. If we hadn’t gone hiking in the Davis Mountains and just stayed in the cottage the whole time we would have still had a blast! We can’t wait to come back!”

”Perfectly, conveniently located, private-feeling house for our family of 3. Well-stocked kitchen was great for making a meal or two a day, which is a good call with the somewhat limited dining options in town on Sundays / Mondays. Beds were comfy with plenty of bedding available. We loved having breakfast on the little patio out back and sitting on the front porch looking at the mountains. We arrived after a very busy weekend and a hard flip for the caretaker, so there was a small issue we...
