It is absolutely, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Galena. Tons to do and see within walking distance. We would definitely do Hotel Galena again! ”Overall, the front desk staff were not very welcoming or helpful or interested in greeting or answering questions or giving information about the hotel. We had to kind of figure things out by ourselves. Looking closely at the room, decor, and the dead bugs in the window and the decor and the restaurant you get a cheaper vibe for the enormous price you pay for this place. Our worst experience was The Edge restaurant. Very overpriced and disappointing for what is marketed as a high-end dining...

”Only thing was that we believed the carriage house had 1 room turned out it had at least 3 rooms with guest. They could pay more attention to details. Holes in wall and ceiling of bathroom needed to be addressed before renting out.”

”Far beyond what we anticipated. Warmly greeted and show to our room. Top line toiletries and added touches. Yes our room was small but well appointed and we did not plan to spend much time in the room. Wine and cheese at 5:30. 3-course breakfast at 8:30 am. Amazing! Will be back!”

”We stayed in Galena for the Great Galena Balloon Race and this place was conviently close to the event field and to the historical attractions that we wanted to see. There was plenty of space for the 4 of us and we really enjoyed our stay. Wish we had more time so we could visit the recreation center where the pool is. We definitely recommend this place!”
