”Nice clean room in a unique rainforest like setting. Hosts were lovely and provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate, ramen, oatmeal, fresh fruit and a delicious homemade banana bread! The location was very peaceful and we enjoyed listening to nature at night. We were also very close to Volcano National Park!”

”The lokahi lodge is a very comfortable stay. It’s like staying in a cabin. Very quiet location right next to volcano national park. The room was clean, spacious, and nice. Good stay for anyone wanting to visit the park”

”The staff were friendly and their food at dinner was excellent! Pretty pricey but worth it! Room was located on the second floor which made us seniors very difficult carrying our suitcases up! The twin beds were so tiny and a bit uncomfortable! So we decided to leave after one night of a 4 night stay!”

”It is so different than any other plaze I know or been to! It's not quite hotel, hostel or motel, it's more like own room with common facilities like kitchen and toilets. Really old building but in great condition! I like it very much and I do recommend to stay here! It was pretty easy to find with gps/map!”

”Staff did not like children and charged us $30 per kid. No place in the website to enter my kids into the guest list. My kids were well behaved and the surprise fees plus extra taxes really hurt our budgets ”

”This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

”We had a great stay while exploring the Volcanoes. Very convenient location, room theme was a blast (felt like staying in a tree house) and was huge, good food options nearby (the brewery was excellent). Would definitely stay again. Parking can be a little tight if everyone doesn’t stay within their spots.”

”My family and I loved our stay! Host was very communicative, the property was clean and well taken care of. Good location between things to do on the island. My only suggestion would be to bring ear plugs for the chickens at night . We would 100% stay here again.”

”The property was in pristine condition located near the Volcano Village and highway. We had a little difficulty with the cable TV and lighting & ceiling fan control but otherwise experienced no problems other than the constant chirping of Coqui frogs which are common throughout the area.”
