”I prefer a room with a working lock on the door. Mine was broken and the door shut improperly. Otherwise, the room was standard fare, a bit noisy from highway. The breakfast was adequate and also standard.”

”Nice place, very satisfied. My favorite was free breakfast and the staff including the gentleman that managed the breakfast was very helpful and efficient. Our room as clean as well. Would stay again!”

”Air conditioner worked great. Was overall clean. Great outdoor space to relax out back. Great location. However, from the time you walked in the front door, it had a mothball smell. The beds weren't too bad. Ive had better but I have also had a lot worse.”

”We always enjoy our stay here. Fun pool nice rooms and Hettle (owner) is awesome”

”Great room but the bathroom was in poor order. Broken towel rack & dirty shower curtain”

”The room was fine, it was very humid in the room almost felt wet. The shower was very small and not enough hot water for both my husband and I . Was very quiet which was very nice.”

”The room was clean!”

”This hotel is in near my daughter's new home. It is the only choice for 10 miles. Its clean.”

”Ac is room 113 and 107 .. trash lol but I guess you get what you pay for in a small town”

”Good for what we needed.”

”Very clean and comfortable and close to The Palace Shiner Saloon and the Brewery! Great for a couple”

”Perfect spot for our quick stay in the country. Heather was a great host and the home is lovely….and a great location.”

”Clean, cute house, loved the place”

”Really enjoyed the cabin. I spoke with the landlord with a question and they responded very quickly. Caught and released about 10 bass from the pier in the evenings. We spent the days visiting the area’s painted churches and looking at the beautiful countryside. The only thing I would add to a list of normal things to bring would be extension cords or a power strip if you have a CPAP or need other things requiring power in the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked...

”Walter was quick and kind in his responses, which we really appreciated. He even allowed us to check in early, which made our short stay much more convenient. The place was clean and comfortable for our one-night stay. We enjoyed being able to walk to the Shiner Ice House and then over to the Shiner Brewery. Overall a good stay. Sadly, did not have the opportunity to use the spa in the private backyard.”

”The Chicken Inn Coop was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed watching the turkey, goats and the peacocks. We enjoyed visiting with Marty and James. The outdoor shower was very refreshing. We will definitely stay here again.Thank you for your hospitality.”
