”Spent one night at the hotel. It is located in a cute small town. There is a good car park and the hotelarea is beautiful. The room was OK size, but could use an update. The pub was nice and the breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and helpful :)”

”Great room cleaned everyday. Swimming pool warm and clean the kids loved it. Mr Chin on reception very helpful and gave advice about where to visit. Would come again. Restaurant could have more food choices but what was there was delicious”

”The main building itself looks great and the lounge and restaurant have clearly been updated of late and are very classy. The food in the restaurant was of a fairly high standard and the staff very friendly. The part that lets the hotel down is the standard of the rooms in the adjacent building. The view was really nice, but the rooms are very tired indeed, with the shower in the bath (albeit powerful) something of a relic and I had to bend down to use it. ”Parts of the hotel are tired and in need of an upgrade. The bed base in the room we stayed in needed to be discarded and replaced. It had started to collapse and won’t be long before it completely breaks (room 104). Excellent breakfast.”

”Probably best to avoid this old and worn out hotel. Poorly maintained. Holes in the carpet. Shower curtain had holes. Mattresses are lumpy. Received fine for parking in their car park and they were unable to do anything. Even though the parking was included in the stay.”

”Disappointing all round. Room tired and shabby, plus not thoroughly cleaned. Spa showing its age (eg not all pool jets working). 30 min spa massage was actually closer to 20 mins. Emailed final bill included a “optional” service charge that could not be declined I.e not optional. ”

”Room could have done with an easy chair but was good otherwise. Hotel seems to pick its staff for their friendliness and helpfulness. Not a bad one amongst them. Plenty of choice at breakfast though evening meals were limited as awaiting new cooling facilities. Plenty of parking at front and back of hotel. Hotel location ideal for getting into Gloucester. Very pleased overall and would definitely use again.”
