”Loistavat näkymät mt.Fujille. Onsenit myöskin hyviä ja loistava paikka rentoutumiseen, myös sieltä suora näkymä vuorelle. Ravintolassa emme käyneet syömässä, mutta aamupala oli hyvä ja monipuolinen. ”

”The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The view of Mt Fuji was magnificent. Although the dining room was closed for renovation, the breakfasts and dinners were delicious, and delivered to our room. We could enjoy our meals looking at Mt Fuji from our deck or from the room itself. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!”

”One night stay-over was very successful. Their customer service at the hotel was very pleasent, helpful and friendly. We stayed in a traditional room, slept on futons and found the experience very nice. I was happily surprised the hotel had a free shuttle bus from the nearest train station. Also the onsen was very clean and there was multiple pools and a sauna. ”

”Honestly the highlight of our entire trip. One night and it exceeded every single expectation we had. The kaiseki dinner was absolutely brilliant. The in-room private onsen facing the lake was just incredible. And the staff were something else, so kind, so attentive, so genuinely invested in making sure we had the best time. One night was nowhere near enough but they made every moment of it count. 100% recommended. Do not even think twice about it.”

”Wakakusa no Yado Maruei gave us an unforgettable ryokan experience. We visited in mid‑May, and the staff’s warmth stood out from the moment we arrived. Even though we came early, they checked us in using a translation app, stored our bags, and welcomed us back enthusiastically at check‑in. ”This place had an old hotel, and I felt old just being there. The price was very expensive and the room was smaller than the picture implied. Regarding the reason for going there - the lake area filled with foreigners with little to do and eat. We walked around the city trying to find a place and there were so few choices and mostly for tourists. I would not come back ever again.”

”A gem of a hotel close to the lakeshore, the hotel was spotless and our first experience of ryokan, playing out our beds and enjoying the simplicity. A konbini and lots of restaurants meant great choice for food (including ice-cream!), the 15km route around the lake was good for a bike ride (bikes and scooters to hire from the hotel). The onsen was very relaxing. Plenty of parking and the staff were very helpful, friendly and fun - a great location all round.”

”The hotel is in need of renovation. The location is however lovely and there is a cosy atmosphere nevertheless. I don't however think I would choose this hotel again. The reception guy tried to enter my room in the middle of the night to deliver a message when I was sleeping, luckily I had the door locked from the inside.”
