”Okay, it's nice enough for hiking and it's clean with a good view. Unfortunately, there is no blow dryer and the communication with the staff is hit or miss. I asked for a 3rd for room with my reservation, but the hotel owners said second floor would be better. Well, you can hear everything from the people above (stomping around and yelling). The area was hit hard from Helene...a lot lf trails still closed and not much for restaurant options in downtown Spruce Pine as they're still recovering.”

”We had a lot of communication with the host before and after arrival. The Haus was lovely, quaint and just what we needed to get away from the usual chain hotels. The Haus was clean and very comfortable and had a good range of amenities. The view at sunset was great and we enjoyed sitting on the veranda. We did not use the kitchen facilities, although they appeared more the adequate. All in all this is a lovely hideaway and well worth a visit if you are driving the Blue Ridge Parkway.”

”The property is located in Springmaid Mountain. Cell service is very spotty, and you cannot be guaranteed a signal. This made it difficult to access Vrbo for check-in instructions. There was an email with access to a website where you could click on a Check-in button where you would think would give you a code. But since we were not given the key code in advance there were a few minutes of confusion and stress as the property office was closed. Once we were able to get a phone signal we...

”If you want quiet, rustic and "homey" this is the place for you! This place is nestled in a wooded area and definitely not on a paved road....just our style! The rustic looks and decor were perfect for our personal taste. The "worst" part of the stay was the lack of cell signal (we got 1 bar of 4g most of the time) but that didn't even bother us! We enjoyed being mostly disconnected for our stay. If you like being remote with the modern conveniences of lights & running water I HIGHLY recommend...
