”One very seldom meets so friendly and professional staff as at Serena Inn. Rooms are cosy with local flavour in furniture, seaview is great and food is delicious. All details in the building show that plenty of effort and money has been invested into restoration. The hotel has been built from the former post headquarters and a chinese doctor´s home - fotos show that the starting point was quite discouraging. The end result is far from sterile standard.”

”Our holiday was in July 2011 Service in the restaurant: the cook was polite also the waiters and waitresses. There weren't really other customers but still. We complain about the noise that bothered us after the bar closed it doors. Noises from the stairway was a bit too much 1 a.m. In a morning. Also the shower sewer didn't work. After 6 days we were professionals to deal with it. The biggest problem was the safety part. One day the reseptionist didn't find our key card. We got a real key...

”Located very conveniently in a very good spot in Stone Town. Staff very friendly, especially Suleiman, big thanks to him! Room cozy, a nice rooftop for breakfast. Good value overall. However, small drawbacks. Towels not fully clean, the hotel could upgrade its laundry service. Another small complaint was, that even though we were promised a breakfast box (and we confirmed this again before going to bed) as our flight was leaving really early, it had been forgotten and we didn't get breakfast....

”I was able to get very early (free) check-in and also late check-out. the hotel has a great and long history and it locates in fabulous and busy area in Stone Town. easy to find! many restaurants nearby, also only just 200 m to the beach. no place for parking nearby! The room was too huge for me actually, so it was even hard to see TV from the other end of the room. (not complaining at all about that!) clean toilet! great and changing breakfast, lovely service in every aspect. Somehow it was...

”This property is right by the ferry making it the most convenient choice one could make. The rooftop terrace offers great sunset views and the restaurant on the terrace serves tasty Indian cuisine that is top notch. The lobby has a fountain that id want in my own home. I love the paintings on each floor the pool area is filled with greenery and has lots of space. Id highly reccomend this property to anyone visting Zanzibar”
