”Like this stay, I have stayed there a few times overnight. The location is very convenient as we were towing a car trailer and didn't have to navigate the narrow streets down towards the Malecon. There is a gated dirt parking lot behind the hotel. As far as the room, it was clean and ready. The bathroom was clean and stocked with soap and a shampoo, beds were clean and comfortable, a/c mini split worked fine. We were right by the pool so it was great when we got there. ”When I checked in the bedding was not appropriate to sleep in. The sheets are just plain flat sheets, not fitted. The sheets looked like they weren't changed from the previous rental of the room. I asked for the sheets to be changed, but they just kept the same sheets on the bed. I ended up using my own blanket and pillow that I had in my car. My previous stays at The Halfway Inn were wonderful. I don't understand why the service has gone down so much. Too bad....”
