”Close to the M1 and as we were visiting family it was in the right place and there was shopping nearby which was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and everything was excellent especially the staff who were very polite and helpful. When we visit again in the new year we will be staying here again.”

”We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. We had an evening meal which we would rate as excellent, plenty of very friendly staff and a short wait for our food. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and varied. ”It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay.”

”Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...

”A very friendly and accommodating hotel. We loved staying at this place for 3 nights. The only downside was that on the last morning they did take away the breakfast menu selection without a reason. Then on our way out of the restaurant we noticed that some had been given a choice from the menu. Overall a great hotel though.”

”Had a lovely stay for our wedding anniversary. Would highly recommend, staff were all lovely, polite and friendly. Service and food were excellent in the restaurant area. All of the hotel was clean and well kept. The bedroom we had was on the first floor overlooking the garden, very comfortable bed. Good soundproofing, we couldn’t hear anything from the other rooms. Location was good for Chatsworth and Bakewell. Would definitely stay there again ”
