”Fun place, old and stylish. Needs a lot of maintenance but if it gets that it will be amazing. Beds needs to be replaced, mattresses are way too old, Bar should update its ciders, only two brands now... and main thing: water pressure!!! Awful, awful... totally non-existing... taking a shower was so uncomfortable and thankfully we didn’t have long hair. There is absolutely no pressure, not at all. ”Shared a room with three adults during Download festival. Pros: Hotel was conveniently located and everything worked well, staff were friendly and hot shower for everyone. Room was sufficiently spacious to fit three adults and their luggage during a 4 night stay. Cons: Spare bed (cot bed) had some sharp edges and was of course not the most comfortable sleep for 4 nights. ”

”Helpful & courteous staff made a big impression. Excellent Supper even on is Sunday night-Grimsby Haddock superb! No music -relaxing and peaceful dining room . Outstanding breakfast -great choice & fresh cooked -lovely hostess made the experience one to repeat ! Car parking is plentiful and very convenient straight outside our room ( actually perfect if one had any mobility issues or required safe parking for valuable stock in a van ).”
