”Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Was also a reasonable price unlike other zoo hotels which can cost £1000s. (We went midweek in September when the schools have...

”Staff very welcoming and informative. Helped with my VIP Expedia extra benefit drink, which was lovely and unexpected. Interior of the hotel is a beautiful thing to see. The rooms were clean, spacious and the biscuit selections in the rooms were on point. Parking was free and electric charging points were also free. Very happy to recommend and stay again if I’m in the area”

”Quirky Hotel , little bit dated now but overall nice and clean. Very noisy outside our room during our stay & screaming down the hall way during the middle of the night by some drunken wedding guests, obviously not the hotel’s fault but”

”Well maintained hotel, spacious room and breakfast included which always helps”

”Centrally located. Nice room, but very cold in November. Service in restaurant was very slow as I waited my burger about 45 min. although there was only one customer in addition in the whole restaurant”

”A warm and friendly welcome. Nice to stroll in the grounds. Room was comfortable and quiet. Dario's Italian restaurant was excellent and a short walk away.”

”Affordable convenient hotel. Lovely staff. Clean rooms.”

”Clean rooms with staff always available. Would stay again”

”Great little room for an overnight stay. Would have been better if the restaurant was open earlier but it’s close enough to the shopping area. More like a motel, parking right outside the room. Would definitely stay again.”

”Lovely family run property with character. Large car park across the road £6.50 for 24 hrs (hotel has small carpark at back). Ideal walking distance for Racecourse and town centre.”

”Needs a good update. A bit of a throwback to the 70s! Room clean.but in a poor state of repair. Not impressed that you have to pay £7 a day for parking in the hotel car park which adds to tbe overall cost!”

”Room dated paper peeling off, wash basin poor at best. No breakfast, television reception terrible, The whole hotel could do with a good clean and decorating. Drinks not at the price's stated.”
