”Really a hidden gem in North Georgia. The room I was in was huge and very clean. The decor was a little dated but it was very comfortable. The scenery is beautiful and the staff super friendly. The food from the onsite restaurant was really good too.”

”The lodges are about 10 minutes from the town of Helen. They were quiet and peaceful. Room was nice and comfortable. The owners, the Johnson family were very friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. The property has a large (~5 acres) backyard that you can explore with your pet. We took our dog along and he enjoyed the woods. The town of Helen was also mostly pet friendly and had multiple restaurants that allowed dogs (patio sitting). We look forward to returning again...

”I had knee replacement surgery 5 weeks ago. The lovely gal who runs the hotel during the day unilaterally offered to help me get my luggage to the room on the second floor. She is an outstanding asset to the property Znd it’s owners!”

”Although I do not Golf i decided to stay in Kingwood - mainly due to its location (ideal for my purposes) and other facilities. The area is beautiful, facilities and services are good and the staff was nice. The lack of microwave oven in the room was basically the minus I had. For a hotel gym, the equipments were good. The indoor pool was big and outdoor pool peacefully quiet.”

”The property was clean and check in easy. It was comfortable and convenient. It is a bit outdated, but good value for the price. The breakfast was very weak. Some packaged honey buns and some slightly overripe bananas and coffee. Still, just needed a clean comfortable bed for a night and it filled my need.”

”We stay here every year for our annual waterfall visiting trip. The previous three years, they had a hot breakfast. But this year it’s just cereal, waffles, bagels or toast, and yogurt. Just wish they’d add muffins, fresh fruit like apples or oranges, and cold boiled eggs, if they are minimizing. Bed was comfy as usual, and their inside pool is the best! Customer service was wonderful. Will return next year.”

”I wish we could’ve stayed longer. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Every staff member was beyond helpful and friendly. Breakfast delivered to our door in the morning was healthy and delicious. Pool was clean and relaxing. The room was immaculate. We will definitely be planning a fall trip. Thank you so much. Places like this don’t exist anymore. We travel a lot. This place is truly a gem.”

”Linda and Mike were outstanding hosts and welcoming to us. They were accommodating to special diet needs, and anxious to meet our requests. Food was delicious, the sitting area was cozy and our room was perfect. If it were possible we’d give 10 stars. Mike us a tour of the mill and a history of the property that made the whole experience fulfilling. ”

”Very clean and cozy. You could tell that all the little details were considered from added pet supplies to the sound machine for sleeping. Hot tub was very nice and the fenced area was easy for taking out the dog without a leash. The fireplace was great and the kitchen had everything you could need.”
