”Rustic cabin had everything I needed - comfy bed, full kitchen, and heat. Because it was a bit chilly, I didn't get to use the patio or grill, but looks like it would have been nice to sit and enjoy with privacy. There were paths to walk along the river. I would definitely come back to check out the little town, but also to continue the amazing and scenic hiking a short drive away. The PCT crosses right through the ares! Also, very dog-friendly. ”

”I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.”

”Our stay here was fantastic! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and cleaning supplies. The bed was very clean and very comfortable. The property was beautiful! We loved the pool and wood-fired sauna and we were only a 10 minute drive from a beautiful swim spot at the Yuba River!! I also asked Rebecca, the host, many questions before and during the trip and she was very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay again! It was pricey, but it seems to be what comparable places...

”Because of the size of our group, we booked the lodge along with the campground, yurt, and the homestead cabin. The set up was marvelous for our family of 43. The beds were comfortable, and spaces were well-equipped. The kitchen was our main selling point. We couldn’t have imagined a better place to prepare and serve food. Inside plus outside seating easily accommodated our large group. The weather was too warm to have a campfire, but the campfire space was an excellent outdoor gathering space....
