”The hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area and within walking distance of the major sites within the town. The staff was very friendly and provided advice on where to go and the various sites to visit. The room is clean and the amenities provided make it a very comfortable place to stay.”

”I have stayed at this property many times over the past few decades. It's feeling a little tired now and could use some remodel or upgrades soon. Conveniently located in center of town, consistent shuttle service to and from airport. Satlelight TV only had 3 working stations. Wish restaurant and bar was open longer but suspect staffing is challenging in the winter season. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly.”

”The room and hotel were kept very clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. My only suggestion concerns the Bowflex: it did the job, but a sturdier machine would be nice.”

”This was a nice place to stay. We had everything we needed. It is not fancy, but it was fine for us. The people who run the Eagle Bay Inn are incredibly nice and helpful and interesting. They picked us up at the airport and drove us to our embarkation place the next day. There is no elevator, but the staff carried our luggage up and down the stairs. We felt valued as customers.”

”Research between booking direct or third party. I feel like the property treats third party reservations as lesser so than a direct reservation. Booked a room two adults one minor; desk host was unaware of the second occupancy in the room? Seems like a simple overlook. Small town gives peaceful vibes. Be patient and they will take care of you. I was surprised no coffee in room but the host always made coffee in the morning in the lobby. Property great parking. Quiet off street entrance for...

”A little dated but excellent staff and accommodations.”

”They were in ownership transition and May be better now. Reception person was awful ”

”Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the location. We had 12 people in our group so we rented all 4 apartments. All of the apartments were great. Clean and comfortable. The only part I wasn't fond of were the steep stairs to access the apartments. But if you don't have...

”Fantastic place”

”Host communicated excellently for checkin, location was central to downtown and the space was very comfortable.”

”The property is in a great location. Quiet. Close to the airport. Very neat and beautiful. The host/owner is very responsive and polite. No issues whatsoever. I love to stay here. Highly recommended.”

”Excellent location for Sitka stay and near everything. Small place but great for two. Surprised no sink in the bathroom and no blow dryer. Safe area and right by the police station. No issues walking to restaurants since and even took a hike there from the airport. Lovely place to stay with a best friend.”

”Loved the property my sister and i really made a home for our ourselves for our four days in Sitka. Appreciated the extra touches coffee and hair care products and washer and dryer down the hall. The internet came and went but i guess thats Alaska. From the couch you can watch cruise culture crowds arriving in blue and green buses at. 10:00 am and the town desertrd by 4:00 pm. You must eat at Beak restaurant, have breakfast at backdoor cafe and hang out at Mean Queen. Fell in love with Sitka”

”We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Alaskan Lodge in Sitka! The house had everything we needed to feel comfortable and right at home. In the mornings, we loved being able to watch whales and eagles while having coffee! In the evenings we really enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. There were so many beautiful things to discover in and around the house. Every day we noticed something new and interesting. There is a giant eagle’s nest in one of the trees in the yard, which was very cool to see! I...

”great location, quiet, reasonable”

”I didn’t have any communication until 3 pm. It would have been better to have had responses to my communication earlier.”

”There are not a lot of options for comfortable self contained apartments in Sitka, and the Franklin Apartments were a great find. They are centrally located, with as many food, shopping and adventure options as can be found there. As mentioned in other reviews, the two bedrooms are separated by walls that don’t completely seal at the top, so these are perfect for families with young children or children or for those who don’t need sound proofing between rooms. The kitchen was fine for reheating...
