”This was a wonderful stay, the staff could not do enough and when I expressed a question about whether I could stay another night, the young man looking after me went out of his way to rearrange, speak to his manager and make it so that I could stay in the same room. I slept really well, to the point of asking where they got their mattress and pillow from!”

”Max 2 star property. We were given the room called ‘tiny double’ which was awful. The bedding and pillows smelt damp. The fire alarm went off whenever we used the shower because of the steam even when we kept the bathroom door closed. There was no floor space at all once our suitcase was opened. For just under £300 per night it is shocking. Breakfast was so basic. We ordered a full english for £18 but had for pay extra for toast?! We were told that because we booked via expedia we had to pay...

”Very clean and cozy pod. Good wifi and all necessary amenities. Spacious grounds for children to run about. Good parking. Hammocks in shaded areas. The picture of a child on the beach made me think it was near the beach. Turns out it is not. That was a tad confusing.”

”Whatever structural deficiencies the physical building may have, and there were a few, the warm, welcoming atmosphere created by hosts Jamie and Rob more than made up for it. The Horseshoe Inn is the type of place where you are immediately treated as family, and you don't want to leave at the end of your stay because you're afraid no one else would do it any better. Jamie and Rob do everything, from preparing and cooking all their menu items from scratch, chatting up their regular pub...
