”Basic normal rooms. Room service was disaster. Recommend to avoid it. Took time and you can get better prepared food everywhere. Location and the hotel itself is beautiful. Nice walks around the hotel area.”

”Room and all areas of hotel were very clean, bed very comfortable and beautiful location by the river in a quiet area. Room had everything you’d need. The hotel and room in particular does need a little TLC. Furniture old and worn, carpet in room needed replacing and walls could do with a new lick of paint. Grounds have seen better days but have a lot of potential.”

”I really enjoyed my stay here. Its perfect if you are working away etc. Spacious accommodation with a nice shower and you can park right outside your chalet. I had a great night's sleep. No complaints”

”No air conditioner in room. Just a desk fan, on days where it was in the mid 20s outside. No lift to upper floor, just a spiral staircase! No working extractor fan in bathroom. You are lead to believe it's free parking only to be charged £5 a night as soon as you check in ! The mattress was very firm as well.”

”The gym was exceptional for a spa hotel and the breakfast was very pleasant however we did find that the hotel itself was quite dated and the rooms were in need of a bit of updating. The bathroom especially could use some modernization.”
