”Our room was not what we thought we reserved. I was told that because we reserved online, there was a mix up and that next time we should call the resort directly. The on the beach cottage was what we wanted. The room we got was located high above the beach and in order to access the beach we had to negotiate many many steep steps. ”Positives, Great location and a nice hotel, nice pool, steps to the beach with beach chairs and umbrella service right on the beach.with very helpful and friendly staff. Nice bathroom with a great shower, fluffy towels and good toiletries. On the downside, the room itself was tiny, no room to move around, no closet only a couple of hooks on the wall and a tiny mini refrigerator which was pretty much useles.”

”This was our second visit. This unit was very dated, dull and unattractive. The room had a few issues, lightbulbs, a stuck door, the pullout sofa needed bedding. But each was addressed and fixed within minutes. The staff was great. I will say the mattress was like sleeping on a cloud. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the pool which is heated to 85^”

”The overall stay was acceptable however there was an issue with one of their security guards. I will spare you the details, but it was very unprofessional. Beds, towels, and bathroom were all clean, but the bedroom carpet was filthy and I could tell that it had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. The nightstand was sticky, and there were a pair of somebody’s eyeglasses on the floor between the right side of the nightstand and the wall. ”Our family stayed for one night, the kids used the pool which was nice and clean. The staff was polite, the breakfast buffet was impressive. The rooms could be updated, especially the mattresses, but the room was clean and was perfect for our family of four.”

”If you are traveling to Southold, this is a very good choice. The property is nice and the staff extremely friendly. The room is satisfactory but I could not believe how strong it smelled of either air freshener or a febreeze type odor. I had a horrible headache the first night. Left windows and screen door open for the first 24 hours. Regardless, once the room properly aired out, everything else was fine.”
