”This hotel is as wonderful as they say. Absolutely beautiful. The restaurant is delicious and has the best coffee. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good. We stayed here for 1 night, pre cruise out of Southampton. It was only a 30 minute taxi ride to port. Romsey is a small (1,000 people) town, the prettiest little English town you'll ever see. ”The only issue was at check- in. I was assigned to room 309, but my key card wouldn’t work. The housekeeper took my card to get it reprogrammed at reception. While I was waiting, another young man came to #309 which he was assigned - and his key card worked. I went back to reception and I was reassigned to the correct room. The personnel housekeeping and reception) were very helpful and apologetic. I was grateful the error was resolved without incident. ”

”Good position and friendly staff”

”Saavuimme autolla pimeällä. HOtellin löytäminen oli vaikeaa ilman tarkkaa osoitetta. Navigaattori ei tunnistanut kohdetta. Myöskään alueen paikalliset asukkaat eivät tunnistaneet kohdetta. Kyseessä on moottoritien varressa olevan pysähdyspaikan majoituspaikka, sisäänajo ainoastaan toisen suunnan rampista. Kävelymatkan sisältä löytyi useita ruokapaikkoja. Pysäköinti sisältyi huonehintaan. Itse hotelli oli ok.”

"Definately good hotel, maybe not quite living up five star status. Our third hotel stay during the same week, so it is easy to compare with other being four stars. The staff are doing their best, but glitches in new room cards and reception procedures left a sour taste. The place at the shore is nice, alltough part of the view is blocked by harbour warehouses. It is a bit far from the city centre by walking. The bar at the top has a nice view, but is noisy. All in all good experience, but not exceptionel."
