A special mention for the staff who were so helpful, and to the very high standards of the outside areas. So pleasing to see no litter but properly maintained gardens and walkways. Well done. ”

”The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.”

”We had a three nights’ stay, which was perfect and memorable for all the right reasons. We stayed at Lloyd overlooking the gardens, which was incredibly comfortable and spotlessly clean. The quality of the food was exceptional - be it breakfast, dining in the restaurant or just snacks in the cafes - fresh, presented well and delectable. Having access to the beautifully maintained castle grounds around the clock was a real bonus. What more could I say? Our stay left us spellbound and we will...

”I stayed in the hotel for a single night alone during my trip to England. The location is rather remote from the main city centre and the surroundings near the hotel are a bit dodgy, without any services nearby. On the positive side, the Strood train station is very near the hotel, so if using this station the location is very convenient.
