”Check in at the hotel was easy and the front desk clerks were really nice. Upon entering the room, we found it very clean and spacious. The a/c was excellent. Beds were very comfortable. Now for the bad part: we booked a two night stay. On the day after we got there, we left early to attend an event. ”There was one pillow per person, and they ran out of extra pillows. AC was so loud, that we had to switch it off so we could have a conversation. The loudest AC I have ever heard. Otherwise it was quiet two nights. Staff was friendly, but to the point it felt a bit unprofessional, hanging in front of hotel on ciggies when we went in or out. Room had smell like mold and I got bronchitis right after our visit. Could be coincidence though. I wouldn't recommend for asthmatics though.”

Talked with front office about getting moved to a different room offered to “upgrade us free” because the fridge rooms were $7 more…. We were moved into ANOTHER smoking room the fridge wasn’t working the microwave looked almost brand new inside and the bathroom was covered in roaches, piss stains, the shower was...

”The floor in the room was not swept, literally dead bugs and little pieces of trash everywhere. Vanity sink, and tables hadn't been wiped down. Not only was the toilet filthy with even a butt crack mark on the back of the seat but felt like it was going to fall over when sat on. When I went in for the breakfast, there was just a few pastries and no coffee cups, don't even know if there was coffee, I just walked out. Also the place is literally falling apart, with tarps on the roof and ratchet...

”The Cowboy Hat House was quirky and kitschy in the very best way! The decor was extraordinarily well-thought out and executed, and the amenities were practically everything you would have at home, to include items for children. ”

”While we had a tad issue with checking in, I was able to reach someone within 2 minutes and it was resolved. Melissa helped us quickly and was so sweet! The studio is super cute (newly being renovated), very clean and amazing location! The neighborhood was nice and quiet. Perfect for a weekend visiting SHSU!! We would stay here again!”

”My expectations were not high, a cabin in Huntsville, however I did not expect an old RV wrapped in old pieces of wood to look as a cabin. Cabin 2 had not switch for the bed area so no lights has to use phone. The shower was micro, water was really hot, that was a plus. It wasn't terrible, but if I realized it was an old RV I would not have chose it. ”This was such a great place to stay. Left the city and spent the weekend fishing in this beautiful spot with family after my daughter’s wedding. Perfect bonding experience with the new son-in-law. So beautiful! Great communication with owner and super clean and very thoughtfully laid out. ”
