It was homecoming weekend for the University of Sam Houston and we were in town to see the Etta May show at the Old Town Theater which is only 10 minutes away. This hotel has a big screen TV in the lounge so you can watch college football on Saturday, they also have a bar there with beer, some wine and a small amount of liquor. ”The mattress was miserable. It was hard as a rock. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a board in there . The room wasn’t cleaned. Well lotta dusty corners lotta dusty furniture. Won’t be staying there again for sure”

”Very clean facility and very reasonable. Easy access to the interstate and a fairly short drive on in to Houston for medical appointments.”

”Room ac was loud, ac of hotel was not working, all of landscaping was very growed up, and pool was not available for use. Staff was nice and willing to help where they could.”

”There was one pillow per person, and they ran out of extra pillows. AC was so loud, that we had to switch it off so we could have a conversation. The loudest AC I have ever heard. Otherwise it was quiet two nights. Staff was friendly, but to the point it felt a bit unprofessional, hanging in front of hotel on ciggies when we went in or out. Room had smell like mold and I got bronchitis right after our visit. Could be coincidence though. I wouldn't recommend for asthmatics though.”

”I liked the free roaming horses and goats and how friendly and helpful everyone was. We had one issue with our microwave and they put a new one in within minutes. The only thing that would of been better is if they maintained the cabin a little better and stocked the kitchen better with pots and pans,”

”Room was so dirty. Stains on toilet and shower. As soon as you walked in comforters had burn holes. One of the beds smelled horrible like pee. I can almost assure it wasn’t changed. Roaches running around. Holes in the ceiling. Just not the best.”

”When we arrived we were unable to access the studio with our code. We reached out to the host and they quickly corrected it. This was appreciated. Upon entering the property we noticed that it did not match the pictures (nor amenities) listed online. It was newly renovated. Aesthetically it was nice, however there were issues. Following are some; no hair dryer or iron/iron board, BR lamp had no light bulb it, clock on kitchen counter was broken and had no battery in it, there were no kitchen...

”Enjoyed our long weekend stay with friends, and found ourselves within walking distance of shops, restaurants and local spots. Only a few minutes drive from groceries, gas and supplies when necessary. Funky vintage decor full of character and western style with a full set of amenities in a quiet, comfortable location. Highly recommended for a one-of-a-kind stay!”
