”If you're looking for a very comfortable stay in the quaint and historic town of Woodstock VT and don't worry about the expense, then the Woodstock Inn is the place for you!”

”We ended up staying at On the river after we failed to spend the night at our Airbnb. There was a F1 tornado that hit the Woodstock area the night before and there was no electricity. Anyway, the hotel sits on a lovely spot and their grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed their breakfast and hot tub/pool area. I can’t give this place a 5 star rating for the following reasons. It is a pet friendly hotel which we love because we our pet lovers. However, the carpet in our room smelt like dog pee....

”Facilities were nice & clean. Office staff were very friendly & helpful! Rooms were large and very nice & clean! Beautiful views of the Ottauquechee River. Fun grassy area with fire pits & cornhole along the edge of the river. Walking distance to the downtown area with shops & restaurants!”

”I loved our two rooms with bathroom in between for less than $150, and the sweet and simple old fashioned building. The back entryway is really lovely. The thrift shop nearby was also nice. And the train across the street we hope to ride one day.”

”The owners were very friendly and I was attracted to the property because of the high ratings it was given. It’s not a property that you would drive by and say, I’d like to stay there. However, they’ve put a lot of thought into it and even provide a fire pit and smores kits in the lobby so you could roast marshmallows if you wanted. The rooms are decorated nicely and the clientele staying on both side of us were very nice couples like ourselves. We got to know them and they felt the same way. I...

”Property beautiful. Rooms very large. Staff very friendly. The only thing that was odd to me was none of our closets had rods to hang clothes on. We were going to a formal wedding, my husband had a suit and I had a long dress to hang up, but the closets had no rods, and we had 3 closets in our room. Had to hang the suit from a door handle and the long dress from the shower rod!”

”This was our second time staying here and it never disappoints! I booked this trip during our kids' spring break for a quick getaway and to use the amazing heated outdoor pool. It's a great location convenient to all the amazing sites Vermont has to offer. Would love to go back again in the fall!”
