”We’d been traveling for about 5 weeks in our small camper and wanted to have a break with a little more room but still be in an undeveloped area and Tamra’s cabin was perfect. Off grid and simple but who needs more - a fireplace and wood, 5 gallon jugs of water, a two burner stove and oven, comfy bed and pit toilet. The lake was beautiful, we took walks and even saw the northern lights one night!”

”The cabin was clean and a perfect size for a couple. The location is great - right next door to the wildlife preserve and just down the road from the hot springs and a coffee shop. It was only a 20-minute drive from Whitehorse and its location outside of the city makes it a perfect spot for Northern Lights. Would highly recommend.”

”Diese Unterkunft passt in keine Kategorie. Im Grunde befindet sich das Hotel mitten in der Wildnis und ist schlecht erreichbar. Das Gebäude und die Einrichtung wurde im Alten Stiel belassen. Die Bäder sind in ausreichender Anzahl auf dem Flur vorhanden. Soweit war alles gut. Das Hotel gehört zu dem Gesamterlebnis dieser Gegend und macht es schwer mit anderen Hotels oder Serviceleistungen zu vergleichen. Positiv ist auf jedem Fall das sehr hilfreiche und freundliche Personal. ”

”Our stay at the lodge was great for our family. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming (early check in, playpen/crib for our toddler to sleep in, highchair provided). We stayed in the caribou room, with a beautiful view facing directly north which would be PERFECT to catch the northern lights right from your room. We were able to use the shared kitchen to prepare dinner and there is everything you need and more offered. (Coffee, tea, water, etc) It was very quiet at night. Thank you...

”The place seemed bigger from the photos, there were very little services at the property. No room cleaning, which is not specified when booking. The location is beautiful over the lake, but after that there is not much to do or additional amenities at the property. Another set back is that the meals are fixed to set menu for all of them, which you have to prebook. I suggest they could have additional options, considering there is no place around to go for a lunch or snack in more than 1 hour...

”I stayed in room 207 while comfortable, it is located right by the boiler/mechanical room. It was noisy. I prefer to stay in the main building, I find the beds are more comfortable than the anex. My next stay, I will request to stay away from the mechanical room in a quieter room. The Downtown hotel in my opinion is the best stay in Dawson City. ”
