Nice, Quiet Getaway

Peaceful place in the river. Really enjoyed our stay. Good amenities with about everything you would need. We would consider staying here again.

Great Place

A great place to stay with your family. It has a little something for everyone to do on this property. We fished, swam, cooked outside & took our buggys to the xtreme off road park for some fun & came back to relax at a quiet secluded house towards the end of the street.

Great time with Family

The property was great, the dock was amazing and we enjoyed the pool! It was just what we needed for 4th of July weekend and we saw fireworks from the top of the boat dock.

Vacation oasis

This property was exactly what we needed! (We didn’t need ask the rain from the tropical storm though.) We enjoyed all aspects of the home, inside & out. There were a few things that needed to be updated but otherwise, we have no complaints.

We stayed with a family of 5. The kids loved the dock for fishing and the pool right next to the water. The dock is very nice with a ton of seating, cover from the sun and rod holders. The entire family was out there most nights. You can catch an interesting variety of salt water and fresh water fish. The host was very helpful and responsive. The house is comfortable with so much outdoor/indoor seating we didn't even get to use it all. The location is quite secluded and not really in a "touristy" area. Nearly a 20 minute drive to restaurants, groceries and other amenities. To be fair, however, everything in the Houston area seems to be decent drive, so my impression is that's not unusual. And the positive is, there's almost no traffic around the property.

My daughter and I came to Rio Villa for a funeral. My grandmother passed and had lived down there for 70 years. We were, by some miracle, able to stumble on this little gem. Exactly what we needed and we were able to share The River one more time w our families! A million thanks to the incredibly kind and accomidating owners. Yall made it a one in a million memory for me and my family! Eternally grateful! :) Harms Family

Best vacation home

The house was beautiful, had everything you needed . If I needed anything they responded quickly. Everything was clean all family members kept busy they had fun yard games . The decks all over were my favorite. You could sit in the sun or if it got to hot you could sit in the shade 😎. Sit on the swing hanging over the water. I would highly recommend for the perfect family vacation. It was so close to things to do . We went to the space center only about 45 min drive . The pool was really awesome being in front of the river so beautiful at night with all the lights out in the deck area and swimming area. I never wanted to leave . Thank you for this wonderful time we spent in your home. Planning on coming back again .

Wonderful stay

My boyfriend and I stay at this home was nothing less than amazing. The house comes with everything you need. Now for the activities, omg we went fishinging right in the backyard (and caught quiet a few), to the pool, to the movie room. Everything amazing. Warning, it's so much to do at the home, dont make to many plans away lol. Views was amazing. I can just go on and on. Definitely will be a come back to stay.

Just lovely!

Definitely had a fantastic time! Everything you need to have a great time with the kids. Plenty of life jackets, loved the kayak, pool and used the deck a lot for fishing and floating. Kids loved the theater room! Enough of space and blankets to have movie night for everyone in the living room as well. Loved the fire pit outside and under house deck for night fun. Loved this place!

Communication was excellent! The house was clean, in great condition, and the dock outside was really neat! I would definitely stay here again when in the area!

Girls weekend getaway!

The house was beautiful and nicely stocked. Six of us stayed for a girls weekend getaway. Loved that it was close to Houston's retail and restaurants, and yet was so quiet and felt secluded. The upstairs and downstairs bedrooms are very well divided, so half of us stayed up late and it wasn’t disruptive to the others at all, and the wifi signal was strong. The Master bedroom was equipped with a coffee maker, and it's own private patio - I enjoyed a cup of coffee while enjoying the sunrise. Looked like it had enough stuff to cook, but we opted for delivery from Star Wok and took the chance and ordered food from take away from the gas station-both places were delish! The house offers plenty outdoor space and an outdoor fire pit. The owner was super friendly and told us to let him know if we needed anything.

family time on the river

We are a retired couple, we have visited several vacation homes, we booked our stay at Riostar so that we could spend time together with my daughter her husband and our two grand girls. The house is very clean and nicely equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed. There were games and movies provided. My wife and I like to get up early so having a coffee maker in the room and a private patio to enjoy the sunrise was perfect. We took the girls to the Houston aquarium which was close by. But their favorite was s’mores by the fire pit and hot chocolate by the fireplace after game night. This property is outstanding we will definitely book again in the summer in order to enjoy some more time together as a family and in the river.
