”The photos and price fooled me. It's basically an overpriced roadside motel next to a bar and not a very nice or quiet area. Very loud traffic from rt 9. When i turned over the comfortor on the bed the underside looked so worn and dirty that i left. It would be passable if they charged $75 a night. It's not what you would expect for $115.”

”The room itself was old and worn and towels in the bathroom were tearing and full of holes.”

”Location of this hotel is amazing. Everything else was just ok. Rooms were clean. Women at front desk didn't know much about parking or where to eat. Also the blinds were sheer so everyone could see in the room at night and the room was light as soon as the sun came up. That drove me crazy. ”

”Safe Comfortable. Clean. The bed is the most comfortable I've had the pleasure of sleeping on ,amongst 2 dozen different motels. Even the "Hilton" doesn't compare. Just all around lovely. & Joe's A nice guy. ”

”This is an old-fashioned two-level motel, with outside stairs and a narrow catwalk to your second-floor room. It showed signs of wear, of course, but everything was neat and clean. The room was a nice surprise; the rug looked new and the beds were comfortable and attractive. There were no offensive odors and everything was clean. The biggest problem was that there wasn't much "everything". Room was pretty small, with no hair dryer, no coffee, no shelf in the bathroom, no phone to call the front...

”Had an excellent stay; missed only a table/chair for Internet use in the room (WiFi worked well). Everything was comfortable, in good condition, and the location was quiite convenient for the family wedding at The Mill.”

”The room was clean and spacious. The only complaint about the room was ants. I went to the front desk and was offered bug spray and to leave a note for the morning staff. I had Lysol so I didn’t bother but when they were there the next day I went back and they thankfully had a plant based one. I was traveling with children one being a toddler. The water smelled a little funny but the hotel might not be able to control that. Breakfast wasn’t extensive but it worked so you don’t go hungry. Staff...

”The Lamplight, as always, was spotless and well-maintained. The location can’t be beat- a block from the beach and super close to restaurants, shops and bars. My only wish is that each room would be supplied with its own Keurig. One of the treats of staying in a motel is waking up and having a coffee in your bedroom before you even get dressed. While coffee is available at the motel, I’d be happier not having to go outside and sometimes downstairs to get my morning caffeine fix!”

”Booked a one night stay, room was clean & also the hotel. Check in staff were friendly. Later in the night we called because we couldn’t turn the TV on. No one ever came to fix it. So at the end of a long night wanting to relax & watch TV, we couldn’t.”

”Not sure how this was rated 7.5 out of 10 but the entire lobby smelled like old cigarette smoke, the third floor had a weird smell to it, my room had no cable or an iron. Pretty sure this hotel is used for social services to house homeless people. Walls/doors are paper thin, you can hear everything going on in any room. Absolutely terrible.”

”Everything was great only thing for me was there was no microwave in the room and it would been nice to have a coffee pot as well. But they do provide it but you have to walk down and use it..being on the third floor it was a bit inconvenient for me . But great spot and nice environment and the staff are really nice .. and the room was very clean and once again location to beach and downtown is awesome .”
