”We stayed in The Chapel Room, which was beautiful, so unique - with stunning stained glass windows, very spacious, gorgeous decor/furnishings and a super comfortable, large bed. The hospitality/housekeeping staff are all extremely helpful and polite. The breakfast was delicious and served by a smiling, friendly and helpful team - we always receive excellent customer service, thank you. The breakfast room/restaurant and resident's lounge are lovely to relax in too. ”
”Unfortunately, the check-in at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve experienced. Firstly, they do not accept American Express, which was inconvenient and not clearly stated in advance. The receptionist then struggled to process my alternative card, insisting it didn’t work. I politely asked her to try again and of course, the card worked perfectly the third time, confirming it was a user error on her part.
What made the situation worse was her lack of apology or acknowledgment of the mistake....

”Bertrams is a lovely place to stay in Warkworth. The rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. The staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
We stayed in a dog friendly room which was at the front facing the road. The room was really hot due to the great weather but we were unable to have the window open during the night because of the noise from the busy road. We did however have a freestanding fan which was excellent and very much appreciated.
