”Owner was very personable and helpful. The cabin is vintage without a lot of modern upgrades, but that is what makes it charming. Kind of like stepping into a 1940's lakeside resort. It had all of the proper necessities, fridge, microwave, stove, kitchen wares, etc. It was clean and comfortable. Cable tv worked fine. They supplied some wood for a campfire which was nice and each cabin has their own firepit. The lake is beautiful and we could launch our kayaks from the edge beyond the seawall,...

”The property is very close to the town of Alpena... A very neat town of about 9000 people.. many things to do in and around town... The property has a large front lawn area with a fire pit... Plenty of room where we tossed Frisbee, and did some other things... The back patio area is great for lounging around and enjoying food and drinks and views of the lake... The family enjoyed the use of the kayaks... there was always a bald eagle or two flying around... And the beautiful sound of loons...

”We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very peaceful and quiet. Very unique and pleasant surroundings, being right on the creek. We enjoyed hearing the creek at night as we slept, and drinking morning coffee over looking the trout pond. The place is very clean and easy to stay at. The owner is friendly and helpful. Feeding the fish is pretty fun! There are many beautiful places near here to visit and enjoy. We will definitely come back if we are in the area. ”

”The wife and I took our kayaks and had a great time on Lake Winyah. The house sits right on the lake so it’s very convenient. We caught so many fish. Pike, Walleye, Lg mouth bass, Sm mouth bass, bluegill, bullhead and a crappie. I literally made three casts off the dock and landed a 23” pike. We will be back ”

”We totally enjoyed our stay at this property. The surroundings so peaceful. We still kept busy. We kayaked the AuSable River, went to Perry Lake with our pontoon and had excellent fishing. We were able to have a fish fry and still take some home for the freezer. Visited Hubbard Lake and drove over to Alpena one of the days.
